Taken along the Yarra River in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia last night.

No cropping, but slight brightness and contrast adjustments made. Also a very small grain merge on a duplicate layer to boost the vibrancy.

Partner had to work back late last night (the poor guy has been on call this week and he's had more phone calls in the middle of the night this week than for pretty much the entire year ), so I took a wander along the Yarra again. It seems I may have had more luck last night with the wind - nowhere near the amount of shakiness in this lot of pics as the ones from last Friday.

I know that it may seem that I'm going over old haunts with these night shots, but it's actually quite interesting to see how things have changed (or not) in the twelve months since I last took similar shots. For example, the following is a pic taken just over twelve months ago of basically the same cityscape, taken from the same spot:


Mainly just minor differences, but you can see them if you look. I guess the major difference is the colour of one of the spires - blue last year, a vivid red this year. Also, you might notice that there weren't any clouds in the sky last night. Full moon may have helped with the lighting too.
