Am I not girly enough for you?
For your family?
Am I too fat for you to think that I could carry the responsibility?
Do you think that I am not organised enough?
Do you think that I'm too naïve or child-like for the added pressure?
Do you wonder if you are?
Am I not good enough?
For you?
Is the reason monetary?
Are you worried how we'll support ourselves?
Do you wonder if our budget won't be able to handle it?
Are you concerned that I won't work?
That you won't want to work?
Are you scared of my cooking?
For you?
Are you afraid?
Are you afraid of not feeling love?
Are you afraid of losing me?
Are you afraid of the future and all that that might entail?
Are you afraid of staying in the same spot?
Do you remember?
Do you ever wonder what it could have been like?
Do you ever contemplate a future that may have been?
That still could be?
But only for a short time.
Why can't I stop eating chocolate?

I'm in one of those moods again when I decide to question everything and feel much better if I type.
Autobiographical but left somewhat open ended for the reader to wonder about what I'm talking about. I'm most curious to see what you think I've written about.
Submitted to Urban and Spoken Word Emotional Poetry again, but not sure if that's correct. If it isn't, please let me know and I will move.

Okay, it's obviously not as open ended as I thought it may have been
The written piece is about pregnancy, but more about the doubts and wants of a woman who is not with child and the questions that arise between her and her partner... read into that what you will
